Special Group Tours . . .
From May through October, Sanborn Mills Farm can make arrangements for special group tours. Tours are typically scheduled on a Thursday and are by appointment only. The size of a tour group can range from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 25 .
A tour includes a brief history of the farm and a walk past the main structures and the gardens. There is an occasional opportunity to view one of the water-powered mills in operation, timber framing projects, and when in season, plowing, haying, and logging with oxen and draft horses.
Sanborn Mills is a working farm. There is a lot going on, all the time. Owing to the dangers of construction projects, the operation of antique machinery, the presence of large draft animals working and transporting heaving loads around the farm, each child aged 12 and under who visits the farm MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times responsible for that child’s safety. That is to say, one child/one adult; two children/two adults; and so on.
To make arrangements for a special group tour, please contact the Main Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 603-435-7314 weekdays between 9 am to 3 pm .
What to expect & what to wear?
A typical tour takes approximately 2 hours and involves walking in fields and over a variety of surfaces so please dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. On sunny days, we recommend bringing a hat and your own water bottle.
Suggested donation of $5 per person.
