Stream Garden is a Heatwave Reprieve

Jun 29, 2021 | Latest News

Like much of the US this week, we’re experiencing a heatwave here in central New Hampshire. One way to stay cool at Sanborn Mills Farm is to take a break in our Stream Garden. Here, the spillway from the sawmill pond creates a little island where it is always cool in the summer! It also creates ideal place for a shade garden of mostly native plants. Designed by Bill Noble, the Stream Garden continues to grow with wild flowers, ferns, marsh marigolds, and much more.
