Crafting Through the Wheel of the Year: Cozy Up to Fall with Wild Crafted Fire Cider

September 27, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Instructor: Sara M. Woods Kender
Length: 3 hours
Skill Level: All
Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Material Cost: None

Talk a walk through the wheel of the year with Clinical Herbalist and Wild Food Lover, Sara Woods Kender. This 4-part series takes you on a trip through the plant world as we shift through the seasons and embrace all the Earth has provided for us. When we begin to be aware of these shifts, we also become aware that our body’s require different nutrients for different times of the year. Each Fall and Spring our bodies need immune support, and those plants that grow during those times provide us with just what we need. Learn the plants that grow around you and how to use them for food and nourishment, whether we use them on the inside or outside.

For Fall, we’ll Cozy Up with Wild Crafted Fire Cider. “It’ll cure what ails ya!” This traditional remedy has been made for generations with many different recipes to follow. Sara will share a few of her favorites.  We will dig roots that grow right here on the farm, process them, talk about their benefits, and make a warming and nutritive tonic.
