
Blacksmithing: Creating in Copper, Brass, and Iron

$275.00This workshop provides aspiring smiths the chance to experiment with new mediums and forms. Students will learn to cut, shape, then anneal copper and brass sheet-metal to create kitchen utensils or candlesticks. Students will begin by sinking and raising copper and brass to form spoons, ladles, or drip pans. Then, students will forge the iron components to structurally complete each piece. These pieces include candle holder arms, bases, candle cups, or handles for serving utensils. Students may round out the set with a rack or fork if time permits.
