May 16, 2020 @ 9:00 am - May 17, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

Instructor: Pam Bartlett
Length: 2 Days
Skill Levels: All
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Material Cost:  Included in registration cost is a pattern,  material, and a rug hook

Join us to learn Rug hooking, a traditional New England fiber art that beautifully combines artist expression and function. In this course, students will learn the core skills of rug hooking and make a 16” x 16” piece. Designs will utilize a “hit and miss” approach to color. With the skills learned in this course, students would be able to progress to pieces involving more complex designs and color shading in the future. Use your finished piece as a wall hanging, pillow, or chair pad!

The workshop fee includes a kit with a pattern, material, and a rug hook.

Students Should Bring:

  • Small pair of scissors
  • 12” quilting hoop

Students can pre-order a 12″ quilting hoop from Pam Bartlett for $28.00. Please contact Molly Bolick at molly@sanbornmills.org to pre-order.
