Tea Box

Taught by: Owain Harris

Workshop Fee: $220.00

Small projects can pack a big punch both with design and learning opportunities. In this two day workshop, students will learn to design and make mitered tea boxes with an emphasis on using form, color, and texture. Student will learn how to select and prepare material to emphasize the natural beauty of the wood. We will then turn our attention to accurate and efficient joinery, and how to cut perfect miters on small parts. Assembly and glue-up strategies will be discussed to ensure tight miter joints. Finally we will explore methods of using color and texture to complete the designs, along with food-safe finish options. Basic woodworking experience is required prior to enrolling. All workshops run from 9AM- 5PM with an hour for lunch in the middle of the day.

Materials Fee: $75 Paid at time of workshop
