Kiranada Sterling Bejamin

Kiranada (Sterling Benjamin) is an acknowledged master of the Japanese rozome wax-resist technique with over forty years of experience in resist-dyed textiles. She lived in Kyoto for more than eighteen years and came home to coordinate the successful World Batik Conference-Boston. Author of The World of Rozome: Wax Resist Textiles of Japan, she has exhibits her work in more than fifty shows worldwide,  lectures and leads workshops in the USA and abroad with solo exhibitions in Costa Rica, Germany, England, Japan, the USA and Indonesia. Kiranada taught Surface Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and the NH Art Institute and recently returned from a three-year solitary retreat in the US Mid-West as an ordained Buddhist practitioner. www.kiranadasterlingbenjamin.com
